Strengthening Disaster Preparedness Through Community-Based Approaches in Japan

Abstract

This research examines how community-based approaches are enhancing disaster preparedness in Japan. Utilizing case study methodology and field research, the study evaluates the effectiveness of grassroots initiatives in educating and mobilizing local populations. The findings demonstrate that community involvement is crucial in augmenting governmental disaster response strategies. The paper provides recommendations for integrating community-based frameworks into national disaster preparedness plans to improve resilience.
