Abstract

This paper examines the development of advanced academic reading skills within STEAM teacher education through the integration of blended learning approaches. Drawing on international educational practices, the study explores how combining traditional instructional methods with digital learning environments supports preservice teachers in developing research literacy and the ability to work effectively with scientific literature. The analysis highlights pedagogical strategies that enhance critical reading, interdisciplinary understanding, and engagement in STEAM-oriented learning contexts. The paper also discusses challenges associated with implementing blended models in teacher education and offers practical recommendations for educators and curriculum designers. These findings contribute to contemporary discussions on strengthening research and reading competencies as essential components of modern STEAM teacher preparation.
