Abstract

This research provides a comparative evaluation of behavioral economics methodologies applied to consumer decision-making processes. The study highlights the importance of psychological factors in economic choices, examining the influence of heuristics and biases on purchasing behavior. By utilizing a mixed-methods approach, we collected data through online surveys and in-depth interviews with diverse consumer groups across multiple regions. Our findings reveal significant deviations from traditional economic theories, indicating that consumer behavior is often irrational and influenced by contextual factors. Quantitative analysis showed that 65% of respondents exhibited bias in decision-making, and qualitative insights revealed underlying motivations that challenge previously accepted economic frameworks. This study contributes to the understanding of consumer behavior in contemporary economics and offers implications for policy-makers and businesses in crafting effective marketing strategies, thereby enhancing engagement and driving economic growth.
