The Gig Economy's Influence on Traditional Employment Structures

This paper explores how the gig economy is reshaping traditional employment structures, with a focus on workforce flexibility and worker rights. By examining case studies from the United States, United Kingdom, and South Korea, the research aims to understand the implications for labor laws, job security, and income stability. The paper employs a comparative analysis methodology, drawing on labor statistics and qualitative data from interviews with gig workers. Findings suggest that while the gig economy offers flexibility, it also challenges existing social safety nets and employment benefits.
