Trade tariffs have reemerged as a significant tool for influencing international trade dynamics. This research focuses on the impact of tariffs imposed by developed countries on emerging economies, with a detailed case study of Brazil and India. By utilizing econometric models and trade data analysis, the study provides a nuanced view of how tariffs affect these economies in terms of GDP growth, inflation, and trade balance. The findings suggest that while tariffs can protect local industries, they also pose risks of trade wars and retaliatory measures.
