Abstract

This study examines the critical issue of resource allocation in public health economics, addressing the persistent disparities in healthcare access and outcomes. By employing a mixed-methods approach, we analyze quantitative data from healthcare facilities across diverse socioeconomic landscapes and qualitative interviews with stakeholders, including policymakers and community leaders. Our findings reveal that traditional models of resource allocation often overlook the nuanced needs of marginalized populations, leading to inefficiencies and exacerbated health disparities. Specifically, we identify key factors influencing inequitable resource distribution, such as geographic barriers and socioeconomic status. This research contributes to the understanding of how targeted interventions can improve healthcare equity and recommends frameworks for optimizing resource allocation strategies. These insights are crucial for shaping policies that aim to enhance health outcomes in vulnerable communities.
