Abstract

Anxiety disorders represent a significant global health concern, affecting substantial segments of the population worldwide. The current study conducts a comparative analysis of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs) to ascertain their efficacy in reducing anxiety symptoms. Utilizing a mixed-methods design, quantitative data were collected from a sample of 150 participants engaged in an eight-week treatment program. Statistical analyses, including ANOVA and regression modeling, revealed that participants in the MBI group exhibited a 32% greater reduction in anxiety scores compared to those receiving CBT, with significance levels reaching p < 0.01. Qualitative feedback highlighted participant preferences for the flexibility of mindfulness practices over traditional cognitive restructuring techniques. These findings underscore the necessity for integrated therapeutic frameworks in clinical psychology, suggesting that MBIs may provide superior outcomes in specific contexts. This paper offers crucial insights for practitioners on optimizing treatment strategies for anxiety disorders.
