Abstract

This research explores the neural basis of emotional resilience among older adults, using functional MRI to assess changes in brain activity. Conducted in collaboration with universities in Canada and Spain, the study reveals that emotional resilience correlates with increased connectivity in specific neural networks. The findings challenge existing models and suggest new pathways for fostering resilience through targeted cognitive behavioral therapy, potentially reducing the impact of age-related emotional disorders.
