Abstract

In recent years, social anxiety disorders (SAD) have witnessed a notable increase in prevalence, necessitating rigorous evaluations of intervention strategies. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of various cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) approaches to elucidate their efficacy in treating SAD. Employing a mixed-methods research design, we gathered quantitative data through randomized controlled trials (RCTs) involving 300 participants subjected to different CBT frameworks. Qualitative insights were extracted from in-depth interviews with therapists specializing in SAD treatment. The findings indicated significant differences in treatment outcomes, with frameworks emphasizing exposure therapy demonstrating a 25% higher efficacy compared to those focusing solely on cognitive restructuring. This highlights the importance of integrating multifaceted approaches in therapeutic settings. Our results contribute to the ongoing discourse on optimizing mental health interventions, offering practitioners a nuanced understanding of effective strategies for tackling SAD.
