Anxiety disorders represent a significant global mental health challenge, necessitating effective intervention strategies. This study investigates the comparative efficacy of traditional Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) methods versus advanced behavioral interventions, such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). Utilizing a mixed-methods design, we conducted randomized controlled trials with a sample size of 120 participants across various demographics. Quantitative metrics, including the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) and Generalized Anxiety Disorder 7-item scale (GAD-7), were employed to measure changes in anxiety levels post-intervention. Results indicated that participants undergoing ACT exhibited a statistically significant reduction in anxiety symptoms (p < 0.01) compared to those receiving conventional CBT. Furthermore, qualitative analysis revealed enhanced life satisfaction and psychological flexibility among ACT participants. These findings reinforce the potential for integrating innovative behavioral strategies within the existing CBT framework to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
