Anxiety disorders represent a significant global health challenge, affecting millions of individuals and yielding substantial societal costs. This study undertakes a comparative analysis of diverse cognitive behavioral interventions (CBIs) employed in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Utilizing a randomized controlled trial (RCT) framework, we examined the efficacy of both traditional and contemporary CBIs across a sample of 300 participants, measuring outcomes with standardized anxiety scales. Results reveal significant efficacy discrepancies between traditional CBT and newer approaches, with traditional CBT demonstrating an efficacy rate of 70% compared to 52% for newer models. Qualitative feedback from participants indicates a preference for the structured nature of traditional CBT. Implications for clinical practice and further research directions are discussed.
