This article addresses the complexities of language acquisition, focusing on the dichotomy between cognitive and sociocultural paradigms. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature and meta-analytical techniques, we investigate the efficacy of various theoretical frameworks in explaining language learning processes. Employing a mixed-methods approach, data were collected from diverse populations across multiple linguistic backgrounds, utilizing standardized assessments and ethnographic interviews. Our findings reveal significant discrepancies in learners' outcomes based on the paradigmatic approach adopted, with cognitive frameworks yielding higher efficiency in structured contexts, while sociocultural paradigms prove advantageous in immersive settings. This research not only highlights the strengths and weaknesses inherent in each paradigm but also sets the stage for a more integrative model of language acquisition.
