Abstract

This research investigates the challenges and strategies of language policy and education in post-colonial societies. Focusing on case studies from Africa and Asia, the article examines how historical contexts influence contemporary language policy decisions and educational practices. The study highlights successes and setbacks in implementing multilingual education, offering insights into the role of language in nation-building and cultural identity. The research calls for adaptive language policies that respect linguistic diversity and promote equitable education, providing recommendations for policymakers in post-colonial contexts.
