Abstract

The paper assesses the transformative impact of autonomous vehicles (AVs) on urban infrastructure and planning. By reviewing case studies from the United States and Europe, the research highlights changes in road design, parking solutions, and public transport integration. The study evaluates the potential benefits of AVs, such as reduced accidents and improved traffic efficiency, while also considering challenges like cyber-security and regulatory frameworks. Through expert interviews, this paper provides insights into future urban landscapes shaped by AV technology. The conclusion offers strategic guidelines for city planners to effectively integrate AVs into urban environments.
