This paper critically re-evaluates the fiduciary duty construct within Anglo-American governance paradigms, interrogating its continued applicability in multi-stakeholder environments characterised by intensified regulatory scrutiny and non-financial value creation imperatives. Drawing on a mixed-methods research design — combining systematic literature synthesis with comparative institutional analysis across OECD jurisdictions — the study identifies structural tensions between shareholder value maximisation and long-term enterprise sustainability. Findings indicate that stakeholder-centric governance models demonstrably outperform shareholder-primary counterparts on composite performance indices over five-year horizons. The paper proposes a reconceptualised fiduciary duty architecture, integrating relational contract theory and stewardship governance principles.
2026-05-19T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Managementhttps://interresearchia.com/index.php/ijm/article/view/636Sustainable Practices in Global Business Operations2026-06-03T12:38:18+03:00Cameron Jacksonadmin@admin.comMorgan Jonesadmin@admin.comPat Smithadmin@admin.com
This article investigates sustainable practices in global business operations, focusing on the integration of environmental, social, and economic considerations. Drawing on institutional theory and neo-institutional isomorphism, the research employs a mixed-methods design combining quantitative panel data analysis (n = 214 firm-years, 2019–2023) with semi-structured executive interviews across 18 organizations. Findings reveal that coercive regulatory pressures predominantly drive surface-level compliance, while normative and mimetic pressures correlate positively with deeper operational embedding of sustainability metrics. Mediation analysis indicates that internal governance maturity significantly moderates the decoupling effect. The study contributes a scalable diagnostic framework enabling auditors and institutional investors to differentiate authentic ESG integration from performative signaling, with material implications for stakeholder accountability and capital allocation efficiency.
2026-05-19T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Managementhttps://interresearchia.com/index.php/ijm/article/view/637The Impact of Digital Transformation on Supply Chain Management2026-06-03T12:42:39+03:00Taylor Clarkadmin@admin.comTaylor Edwardsadmin@admin.comPat Lewisadmin@admin.com
This article examines the impact of digital transformation on supply chain management. This study critically interrogates the stakeholder governance paradox—wherein managerial accountability to plural stakeholder constituencies generates structural tensions that undermine organizational coherence and strategic alignment. Drawing on institutional logics theory and a mixed-methods design encompassing 312 publicly listed firms across emerging and advanced economies, we demonstrate that unmediated stakeholder pluralism significantly attenuates decision-making velocity and capital allocation efficiency. However, organizations exhibiting high degrees of structural ambidexterity successfully reconcile these competing logics. The findings challenge prevailing normative assumptions in governance discourse and propose a contingency-based stakeholder integration model with robust implications for board-level policy and managerial practice.
2026-05-19T00:00:00+03:00Copyright (c) 2026 International Journal of Managementhttps://interresearchia.com/index.php/ijm/article/view/758A Novel Stochastic-Dynamic Framework for Optimizing Multi-Criteria Decision-Making in Global Supply Chain Networks2026-06-19T14:13:40+03:00Jesse Kingadmin@admin.comChloe Nelsonadmin@admin.comPat Williamsadmin@admin.comKim Evansadmin@admin.com
This study introduces a pioneering stochastic-dynamic framework tailored for optimizing multi-criteria decision-making processes within global supply chain networks.
