Targeted Gene Therapy Innovations to Mitigate Chemoresistance in Advanced Ovarian Cancer: A Paradigm Shift in Personalized Treatment

Advanced ovarian cancer remains a significant clinical challenge due to its high rate of chemoresistance, leading to poor patient outcomes. This study explores targeted gene therapy approaches as a potential solution to overcome resistance mechanisms. Employing a cohort of 120 patients with advanced ovarian cancer, we utilized quantitative PCR and next-generation sequencing to analyze genetic variations associated with treatment responses. The findings revealed that incorporating targeted gene therapy with traditional chemotherapy regimens improved overall survival rates by 35% (p < 0.01) compared to control groups receiving standard care. Additionally, patients exhibited a reduced incidence of relapse and enhanced quality of life metrics. These results underscore the promise of personalized treatment protocols in improving clinical outcomes for patients with advanced ovarian cancer.
