Abstract

Autoimmune disorders pose significant challenges to healthcare systems globally, with increasing prevalence rates and unclear etiologies. Recent advancements in metagenomics have highlighted the crucial role of microbiota in modulating immune responses and disease pathogenesis. This study employs a comprehensive review of clinical trials, patient samples, and metagenomic sequencing data, revealing a novel interplay between gut microbiota composition and autoimmune disease exacerbation. Our findings suggest that targeted microbiota modulation could represent a transformative therapeutic avenue for patients suffering from autoimmune conditions. By reinforcing the necessity of microbiota-centric approaches, this paper endeavors to illuminate new paradigms in clinical management and therapeutic interventions for autoimmune disorders.
