Abstract

Pancreatic cancer remains one of the most lethal malignancies globally, with a dismal 5-year survival rate. The challenge of early detection has driven research towards advanced diagnostic modalities. This study conducts a comparative analysis of molecular diagnostics, including circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) and liquid biopsy techniques, against conventional imaging modalities such as CT and MRI. Using a cohort of 200 patients at risk for pancreatic neoplasms, we evaluated sensitivity, specificity, and overall patient outcomes. Results demonstrate that molecular diagnostics significantly enhance early detection rates compared to traditional methods, suggesting a paradigm shift in clinical practices. This study emphasizes the need for integrative approaches in clinical settings to optimize patient care pathways for pancreatic cancer.
