Abstract

This study examines the efficacy of virtual reality (VR) as a tool for pain management in clinical settings. By providing immersive experiences, VR can serve as a distraction technique, reducing patient pain perception and reliance on pharmaceuticals. The research evaluates various VR modalities and their application across different types of pain, including chronic and acute pain conditions. Findings suggest that VR represents a promising non-pharmacological intervention for pain relief with significant clinical benefits.
