Evaluating the Efficacy of Personalized Medicine in Managing Type 2 Diabetes: Insights from a Multicentric Randomized Controlled Trial

Recent advancements in personalized medicine have transformed the clinical management of chronic diseases, particularly Type 2 Diabetes (T2D). This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of personalized treatment plans based on genetic profiling and metabolic responses in a diverse patient cohort across three major healthcare centers. Utilizing a randomized controlled trial design, we enrolled 300 participants with T2D, stratified by age, sex, and comorbidities. We implemented tailored interventions for one group, while the control group received standard care. Through comprehensive data analysis using SPSS 26.0, we measured HbA1c levels, fasting glucose, and quality of life indices over a 12-month period. Our findings indicate a statistically significant reduction in HbA1c levels (mean decrease of 1.5%) and improvements in overall well-being (p<0.001) among participants receiving personalized care compared to controls. This study underscores the potential of personalized medicine in optimizing treatment approaches for T2D, aligning with current clinical guidelines and patient-centered care paradigms.
